As a versatile composer, Pierre Charles thrives in sonic storytelling that blends the sound of a traditional and familiar approach with contemporary and distinctive palettes. In 2019, he was awarded the SABAM Award for Best Young International Composer at the internationally esteemed World Soundtrack Awards in Ghent, Belgium, and in 2026, 2024, and 2023 received a BMI Film & TV Award for his scores on Sean Combs: The Reckoning (Netflix), East New York (CBS) and Inventing Anna (Netflix).

Charles's score for Sean Combs: The Reckoning released in 2025 to widely acclaimed reviews. His other recent credits include The Brittney Griner Story, an ESPN 30for30 that premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, Gonzo Girl, a feature novel adaptation by Jessica Caldwell directed by Patricia Arquette that premiered at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival, Story Ave, starring Asante Blackk, and East New York for CBS. Charles co-composed the score for the Shondaland limited Netflix series, Inventing Anna, with Kris Bowers, as well as co-composed the score for Netflix's They Cloned Tyrone starring Jamie Foxx. In addition to his own projects, Charles has contributed music to several television series and films including Euphoria, Space Jam: A New Legacy, When They See Us, DMZ, Bridgerton, Dear White People, Mrs. America, Bad Hair, and United States vs. Billie Holiday.
